Southwest Charming Apartment - Amazing View

Everything was beautiful

Hostess was responsive.

Very uncomfortable. Downstairs was cold while upstairs was unbearably HOT! Sleeping was difficult to impossible. Loud heating system in back bedroom. Rooms not clean. No attention to details (ie. Hand soap empty, corners not vacuumed at all, generally not vacuumed well throughout, cobwebs). Amenities dirty and not ready for use.

The location was great and the beds were comfortable with really nice linens but everything else was run-down and ragged.

The apartment looked like an apartment you might rent for a couple of college sophomores who don't care about aesthetics or cleanliness. It is in an old building, chopped up into apartments. This one had a rickety spiral staircase leading into the space above, which also had a thin door into the hallway of the building as if it had been an apartment on its own at one time. This door didn't fit properly and was latched with just a regular doorknob lock (the kind everyone knows how to open by sliding in a credit card). The windows were all dirty and caked with detritus, so the "amazing view" was only from the front steps. This was a new listing on Booking.com and it had an "equivalent to a 3-star" rating; sadly this is NOT the case. The ceiling in the kitchen was leaking and we couldn't figure out where the water was coming from. The host responded to our concerns but didn't help us with the problem.

Location and price was wonderful
