CHARMING WINDSOR COTTAGE, INCREDIBLE Location, Castle Doorstep

Immaculate. Spacious. Well equipped. Only 30 seconds from views of river and castle. Warm. Snacks left for arrival. Clear communication about entry & exit & WiFi etc. Kitchen well equipped. Settee comfortable. Permit for parking information provided and permit actioned. Toiletries and towels and bedding nice quality.

Stairs are open and wood slippery and no second. hand rail, bathroom downstairs, so decision made to camp downstairs rather than the worry of those overnight for mum aged 70. Need at least some grips or something on each step to prevent slipping. Due to proximity to town, had people in the street in the early hours shouting and intoxicated & due to the cottage having traditional windows and doors the noise was very loud. Communication about parking took a few attempts. Parking pass is a 24hr one that owner activates. It is for zone E. This is about 8 mins walk from cottage and £9. I never did find out what time it was activated and so couldn’t work out when I needed to move car. I think the Q parking or parking in council car parks was better and probably no further to walk. Information on parking upfront would be helpful to make Informed choice. People in the cottage a few doors down said that they had had two very bad nights with noise in the street, so earplugs might help.

I liked that it was close the the heart of Windsor.

It did not have parking! Parking was quite a way away. It’s a dark street. The back door did not unlock. Stairs are very steep.

This place was absolutely adorable, central to the town, and comfy with lots of extra linens and even fans! The fans especially were appreciated in the extreme heat wave.

We were missing toilet paper, a tea pot, and a few other bits, but overall it was great.
