GBIt was our first time in Budapest and we had not been on holiday for a long time so I was quite nervous about everything. I did not need to worry at all. The apartment was spacious, with high ceilings and large windows, no view though. There were 6 of us so 2 bathrooms made all the difference. There was more than enough storage space and all the amenities were in good working condition. The apartment is on a busy road so there are plenty of shops, restaurants and a tram stop right outside. Even at night, it felt safe to come and ago as there was always people about. We did not have any problem with the city noise. Although there is construction work taking place in the apartment above us whilst we were there (18-21st Aug). We walked to the city centre on the first day and it took approximately 25 mins but it was perfect. We got to enjoy so many of the sights along the way and there are plenty of signs to guide us. We booked the hop on and off bus for the next 2 days and its stop is just about 5 mins from the apartment (on the right side as you step out of the apartment building). What I did not realise is that the New York Cafe is also right there, for those who would be interested in visiting such a beautiful cafe. We had a wonderful experience in Budapest and I would happily book the same apartment again.
The lobby is very dark and smelly but thats because the dustbins are on one side. The elevator stopped working so we had to carry our bags down from the 3rd floor on the day we checked out but fellow travellers who were arriving from the night before were struggling with their bags. DO NOT believe Google maps when you are checking real life images of where the apartment building is. It shows pics of a lovely hotel but really the building we were looking for was a few minutes away, keep an eye on the building number.

The cleaning staff barged in exactly at our 10:00 checkout time as we were trying to leave and entered the room even though I was yelling at them to stop because my wife was trying to use the bathroom. Completely unacceptable behavior. Also fairly noisy - white noise made it possible to sleep but the sirens from the street are quite loud. ,

ATReally spacious, well-equipped kitchen, comfy beds, and perfect location. The hosts were really nice as well: We had a small issue during check in, and it was resolved really quickly!
Some things in the apartment felt quite worn out; could use a little renovation.
