Tropical Glamping Nusa Penida - Private Romantic Seaside Bungalow Diamond Beach

The view is phenomenal. Definitely one of those things everyone with enough money should experience before they die. I loved just sitting in bed and staring at that beautiful view of the ocean through the shades. I was initially booked this bungalow thinking it would be the hammock one and then felt I had made a mistake after realising I had booked the wrong one. Nope. In retrospect, thank God I didn’t book the hammock one because my wife would have been too scared to enjoy the hammock. This particular bungalow has its own unique charm - the hammock, the outdoor dining space, the love heart frame, the open air bedroom (and those amazing shades). The host was even nice enough to allow us to launch fireworks during our stay, which were lit by one of the villa staff. It was so wonderful just to have some fireworks launched off the cliff, above the ocean to celebrate my wife’s birthday - something which I doubt we’ll ever be able to do again.

Ok so this is tough but the property would have been a solid 10/10 were it not for a few things. Firstly we had an adult male monkey literally walk into the room during our stay, which was actually kind of cute and funny for me as the poor thing was just trying to open the fridge to grab some food. But my wife was terrified. I ended up having to confront the monkey and whipping it with my sarong to shoo him away. Thankfully the monkey did go away and never came back again but the situation could have definitely ended much worse and I’m just lucky that the monkey didn’t decide to start pouncing on me. I don’t think this bungalow would be safe for a solo female traveller or even two female travellers to inhabit. As much as I love the open air charm of the shades, it’s not safe and the owner should put up a glass wall to prevent future monkey intrusions… Secondly, I was shocked at the 800kIDR fee I had to pay for decorations and birthday cake. I would have been happier if there were birthday decorations everywhere - balloons, ribbons, banners, flowers etc but no. It was just a simple flower decoration on the floor saying I<3U (something every villa/hotel we’ve stayed at in Bali has literally done for free) and a bunch of leaves on the bed saying “Happy Birthday (name)” something that anyone could have done in less than 5 minutes… and the cake was just two slices of coconut cake?! There wasn’t even a “happy birthday” icing decoration on top of the cake (something that is totally standard), it felt like we had got two slices of leftover cake from someone else’s house… After being handed an 800kIDR bill it felt as if I had been scammed by the taxi mafia again; and Nusa Penida is rife with the taxi mafia and other scammers trying to take advantage of tourists… But in retrospect it was my fault really.

Everything. The location, the setup, the view, the place itself, the staff... One of the best looking villas we've stayed, and we've stayed in plenty of villas! It's very close to Diamond beach. The staff is very kind and helpful with everything, since you're baiscally in the middle of nowhere (but that's huge benefit!)

Definitely overpriced, the comfort was good, but not excellent (no comfy places to chill etc). And yes, I am aware that it is a glamping, but money/value is low.

我们非常喜欢这里的清晨和夜晚，每天五点多我妻子就会自然醒，洗澡泡茶然后看朝霞和日出，太阳完全出来以后猴子和小鸟会在视线所及的地方玩耍一阵子，等天气转热，我们会回到屋内吹着风扇欣赏风景和看书，我妻子非常喜欢这种纯粹天然的体验，但我觉得有点热。到了夜晚，请关上所有的灯光，躺在椰子树下露天的床上欣赏夜空，温度非常宜人，还会有舒适的晚风，我的妻子每晚大约8点就能露天睡着。 我们推荐使用民宿提供的付费包车服务，包括往返接送和佩尼达全岛游览，因为岛屿的路况较差，而且住宿点的最后一程路需要由民宿派摩托车接送才能抵达汽车停车点，使用包车服务会使得一切更容易衔接起来。有一个完整的白天我们包车前往岛屿的西边参观了热门打卡点，但我们俩都认为民宿本身才是此次佩尼达岛最讨人喜欢的体验，而不是人山人海的景点。 另外，我们非常喜欢民宿提供的餐饮，比外面的好吃很多很多，我们愿意每一餐都在房间吃。 总而言之，我们认为即使前往佩尼达岛没有参观任何景点，仅仅是在这里住上两个晚上，也是非常值得的，如果你像我们一样喜欢安静，喜欢大自然和小动物，我们强烈推荐这里！ 我们只放了一张日出照片，是因为民宿和其他住客的照片是完全真实的，请相信他们的照片没有一点美化，这里本身就非常美。

相对来说，民宿距离码头比较远。但某种程度上我想这可能不算缺点，正是因为抵达的难度，这里非常宁静，看不到任何一个游客，我们享受了仿佛全世界只有我们两个人的假期。

The location was amazing. The privacy was exactly what we needed.

We only wish they had a small pool that would’ve been icy on the cake. Beware of the monkeys.

Very helpful and friendly staff. The view was breathtaking during both night and daytime. The sunrise view was relaxing. The ambience of the bungalow really sets a romantic mood for couples. Perfect for honeymoon.

Encountered geckos and monkeys. One monkey stole our chocolates and ate it haha. As glamping is being together with nature, I didnt dislike instead enjoyed this experience instead.
