Imperial House "Serviced Apartments"

Excellent location; friendly host (Simon). Great sea views from living room, which was attractively furnished, comfortable, and well-equipped with quirky books, games, DVDs, and binoculars, with ample seating and dining space for up to four guests (we were only two). Well-equipped kitchenette, including lots of ice in the freezer. Complimentary toiletries. Wardrobe storage space. Charming decor in main rooms. Nice bed-linen. Clean. Good, free wifi. Straightforward check-in instructions and good pre-arrival communication from host.

Bathrooms could do with an update/maintenance, particularly the small en-suite, which was missing a door handle on the inside (couldn't shut door without risking being trapped inside!) and had a broken loo seat. Main mirrors too high up for short people; lower mirror in en-suite was appreciated, but poorly lit for applying make-up/contact lenses. Could do with some surfaces to put your own toiletries on in both bathrooms (e.g. small table, stool, wall-ledge), and/or wall-rack to store provided toiletries, and better lighting. Some tea bags and coffee were provided, but a box of Yorkshire tea bags in the cupboard was empty. Beds had strangely been made up with only a duvet cover as a sheet, with no duvet inside (perhaps because weather had been v hot the week before?); but we found duvets in the cupboard and put them into the covers ourselves. No bin in my bedroom (the one with en-suite). It's an old building, so there's no air-con (some windows do open, with care, and a couple of fans were provided). TV is streaming only, not live reception, and you need to have your own subs account login (need to know passwords, so advance warning would have been appreciated). Noise from the street on the bedroom side in the morning, but that's to be expected in an old building in this central location.

Host was helpful and friendly. Location was amazing and the flat was lovely.

The space in the main Iiving area was fab! Lots of light flowing through and amazing views around the beach and more. Great for people watching, especially with the binoculars! Good self catering accommodation, well equipped kitchen. Great selection of complimentary items, nice touch 👌

Big wardrobes with lots of hanging space but there was no draw space to put those smaller items of clothing - a small chest of drawers would easily have fit in the underneath of the wardrobes ( just a suggestion). The ensuite door could not be shut from the inside, there was no handle or bolt, just a hole in the door which was a bit awkward to try and close. No hairdryer or iron/board. Strong unpleasant 'herby" smell in the communal lobby

Location was excellent. Very quirky apartment.

Beds were very low, but still slep well. Wished more windows would hve opened but appreciate the age of them & fans were in the cupboards if needed.

The host Simon is a legend and the property is brilliant. The location is absolutely perfect!
