"Lovely little place for exploring the surrounding area"

9.0

Really loved my stay at Market Street Shepherd's Hut. Not only is it located in a quiet residential area within walking distance to grocery stores and food outlets, but it is also spot on in the middle of a lot of nice historic sites (especially megalithic). The hut is equipped with everything one needs for a few nights stay. The kitchen even has a small stove top. The bathroom is a nice size and I didn't have any issues with the hot water supply (said this, it was just me and I have very short hair - so I do understand that I could get a bit more complicated with more than one person and/or long hair). Overall, it was an absolutely lovely experience and I hope to return in the future with more time to explore the area in more depth.

Just one minor thing that I feel could improve the experience (especially when staying longer than just two or three nights): It would be nice to have a pull down rack/contreption or something with a few hangers so that one can air clothes overnight. I used one of the chairs which worked out but wasn't ideal (I was lucky with the weather, but especially when getting caught in the infamous Irish rain, it would have been troublesome to leave the wet clothes somewhere without causing damage to the wooden furniture).

just minor things the cut wet grass all got tracked onto the floor - better outdoor hard surfaces would help the bathroom basin was blocked but managed to unblock with jugs of hot water the bed is so high some people would struggle to get up onto it pods are generally cramped so no surprise there

"Nice private acommodation with everything you need"

10.0

Really nice acommodation with everything you need for your stay from hairdryer, microwave, toaster to stove top. It is very clean and I like that they are doing their bit for the environment by segregating waste and using eco cleaning products👏 I really enjoyed listening to the rain tapping on the roof. Would definitely go back and recommend it to others

Bed is a bit high cause of the pull out bed underneath, but it was a very comfy bed. It would be great if you could charge your phone or plug in laptop near the bed. An extension cord would be a plus

"It is a beautiful area."

Oonagh is a good and helpful host. I would return.

I liked the experience. It is nice to get a break from the outside world, no TV or radio.

"Never stayed in a Shepherd's Hut before. If they are all this standard I definitely would again!"

9.0

Great location, a short walk to the centre of the village. Host was extremely helpful. The accommodation was immaculately kept.

The hot water tank is small so you can't dwell too long in the shower. This is a very minor thing, I was advised in advance and it didn't detract from a great stay. All in all the place is great!

"Cute, clean tiny hut house, but if you need space and certain amenities it may not be for you."

7.0

A cute tiny house in the country that was walking distance to the pub. The property had a micro-kitchen that was nice for basic cooking. Everything was fresh and very clean. parking was super easy. If there in the warmer months you were able to take advantage of the outside seating. The land lord was a super nice accommodating women,

We were told by the owner you only had three minuets of hot water to shower then you had to let it warm up again. We were there only for two nights so we did not shower because we took our shower at the seaweed baths. Cannot confirm exactly how the hot water situation worked. It frosted at night so we need to turn on the portable heater, it took a long time to heat up and it was difficult to regulate. The condensation was really bad on the windows in the morning, if you left anything on the ledge close to the window it may get wet. The door to the property was really challenging to open and lock. We thought it was locked when we left for the night and had to call the landlord to get in because we were not able to pull the door open. We thought we were not working the code lock properly when in fact the door was that tight of a fit that you had to really use a lot of strength to open it. Once we figured that out it worked fine. if you have strength issues it may be a problem.

The hut is very cute and well equiped. Oonagh is lovely and very attentive. She made us feel like home and ensured we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is great, not far from the main street. Parking available in front of the hut. Dromahair and surroundings are beautiful. The hut is well located and handy when visiting different spots in Leitrim/Sligo area. My mother and myself enjoyed the experience and appreciated the gifts left for Xmas. Thank you so much, we had a great time!

The cabin was very clean, there were clean towels, blankets and all we needed to stay, including a portable heater which was enough to warm the cabin.

The shower only warmed for 3 minutes, so we had to have cold baths on really cold days.
