The location was great

We arrived to find filthy carpets. Some sort of red stains on the bedsheets that appeared to be biologic. The windows were dated, and some of the closure, locking mechanisms for the windows were broken. The windows were drafty and not until we turn the heat up to its highest was the apartment livable The washing machine on the Quick cycle ran for almost 3 hours and the dryer did not work at all. They were drying racks in the bathroom, but there was no heat in the bathroom at all so it was always damp and cool. There was no radiator or any heat source in the bathroom whatsoever. The location where the radiator should have been was blank with the pipes just stubbed out of the wall. By no means with this pass. code. The apartment is overpriced and inadequately equipped by modern living standards. We asked for a refund and no one responded and our only option was to stay. Booking.com refunded us $350 and by no means did that equate to what we got for our money don’t be fooled by the images and furniture. This apartment needs updating, new washer and dryer, heat in the bathroom and whoever is responsible for cleaning the apartment should be fired.

Being at the city center, the location was great with a grocery store a couple of buildings away.

No elevators but understandable.

Good location if you don’t have a car. Two queen size beds.

1. No parking. 2. Waiting until 15:00 to check in after arriving at 5:00 is difficult. 3. Been a while since last remodel which looks like a DIY job. 4. No elevator.

The location was amazing. Right in the heart of Reykjavík and close to all shops and restaurants. The apartment was spacious for 5 people and it was clean. The communication with the staff was excellent as they provided as with all the necessary info for an easy check in and check out and catch up with as if everything went smoothly.

The biggest bummer for us was the lack of proper shades: as the sun rises early in May, our sleeping was interrupted by the sun as the shades were not that sun blocking. Also, due to super sunny days while we were there, the apartment was EXTRA hot during noon-evening . Furthermore, the apartment was a bit worn out like many persons have used it over time and needed some attention/renovation. Lastly, street was quite busy.

Phillip was fantastic ! So responsive and everything in the apartment was absolutely perfect for us. We were 5 adults and 1 child and all had plenty of space
