Satva Samui Yoga and Wellness Resort

Lovely location by the beach with a few shops and restaurants right outside - making it easy to find places to eat and do laundry. The room was comfortable with its own sun lounger and chair.

The water press for the shower could have been better. While I didn't choose the place for yoga it was disappointing that once I checked in I received a message that this was extra - even though I had already asked if it was included with the room when booking and was told it was.

Food is available only 2 days a week, there’s no reception so we had to find the staff everytime we wanted something It is located far from the main area ( chaweng)

It was quite a relaxed atmosphere. Most everyone seemed to respect each other’s space, yet still said hello in the path. Very pleasant atmosphere.

Yoga is in the name, and the only reason I booked. However, when I asked about yoga class times, it took 4 tries before getting a time for 9:00. However, I later found out that I had missed several classes. One at 17:00, and one at 7:00. The instructors were all very good. The disconnect surprised me though.

The hotel is located in the tranquil and a beautiful part of the island. The beach, which is a few steps away, is nice, with less rubbish than the other beaches in Samui. The hotel will suit best those who are vegan, not drinking tea or coffee for breakfast (all charged extra, as well as eggs), those who do yoga, travel without children (not good for kids, especially because of breakfast). Sunsets were stunning. You can borrow kayaks and paddle boards for free.

The pictures suggest high standards of the amenities, which is misleading. The 2 bedroom villa we stayed in was tatty, tired, and needing refurbishment. Housekeeping was very bad. The villa was not clean to begin with (I've never seen such filthy curtains in my life!). Ants and mosquitos everywhere. Signs on the wall in the Russian language only! Overall, this hotel is aimed at Russians. Breakfast was hugely disappointing! They claim to serve healthy food, and instead, they are making extra money from charging for eggs, tea, and coffee! At the same time, they serve inedible bacon. There are only 6 sunbeds on the beach, which are old and tatty. Yoga is charged extra. Construction work was on and waking us up early in the morning.

The breakfast was amazing. Lots of choice and so many healthy options. I loved the bean porridge with black rice. The menu on the whole was great. It was varied and there was a focus on healthy food. We only discovered room service on the last night. We would have used this more had we known earlier in our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our daily juices and smoothies. The whole vibe is so relaxing and the staff were so friendly and helpful.

The only aspect of Satva that was disappointing was the beds. They were not comfortable. We moved room after the first night due to this. The second room was only a marginal improvement. If all beds were comfortable you’d have an outstanding resort!

Plenty of space in the villa, right next to the pool.

Location was far from anywhere but you know that when you book. Strange set up of two resorts together and a yoga studio in between. I didn't see the email so went directly to our resort when they were expecting us at the next door resort to check in. Strangely had to pay extra for eggs at breakfast.

Amazing stay! The hotel is situated in a perfect location, steps from a lovely beach. Kayaks and paddleboards are free for use. The room was excellent with everything we needed. The restaurant provided great food and all staff were lovely and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel!

A few mosquito’s found in the room - but a mosquito net was provided so this wasn’t a problem.

Lovely Russian receptionists. Location. Comfy mattress. Beachfront property with stunning views of the sunset. Healthy lifestyle vibe. Hammocks. Direct access to beach from the room. Quieter side of the island. Clean, simple, basic, functional. Sleeping to the sound of the sea 🌊 is just exactly what my nervous system needed. Sea view from the window - sea is just 8 metres away from the bungalow! Def choosing this idyllic spot again when in Samui.

Breakfast was a bit boring to my personal taste (I am not a vegetarian) yet healthy , tasty,filling and nutritious!

Lovely room and wonderful beach. Great swimming pool. The vegetarian breakfast was quite good. My daughter enjoyed the boxing class and it was fun they had different activities. A really lovely place with a lot of nice details. We loved that glass water bottles were used instead of plastic. We really loved our time here.

Some of the guests were impolite (littering, sunbathing nude in shared areas, leaving towels on loungers all day long while they're not even in the area, etc). I hope that the hotel does not try to attract these types of guests in the future. Also, for a yoga hotel, yoga should be included. Bed was squeaky.
