"The Celebration" Balcony Seafront Apartment

Situated in a very central area. Local to anything you need. Property was very clean and very comfortable. Bathroom new and modern. There was nothing that we did not have. We were also lucky to get a parking space right outside for the majority of the time we were there. Carole was great.

I understand the present owner recently purchased the property and refurbished it in 2023. Bad reviews on Booking.com earlier than 2023 can therefore be disregarded. The Celebration Apartment is nicely decorated and our stay was enjoyable for me and my wife, who is disabled. There are three steps down from the living room to the bathroom, and another down to the landing outside, but my wife coped well. The bathroom is very good, with bath with shower over, and a separate shower in a cubicle which works very well. The double bed is comfortable, and we found the kitchen adequate. Overall the apartment was nice and clean and well presented. The sea front offers excellent walking and is easily accessible from the property.

The front door, although modern, requires a knack to open it. Luckily, when we arrived, the cleaner was on hand to advise. When outside, you need to pull the door towards you while turning the key. When inside, you need to push the door away from you while turning the latch. Not so easy if you have arthritic fingers! I suggest grab handles on each side of the door would help, We found parking outside the property, though free, was seldom available during our April stay. We parked in a disabled spot 50 yards away (my wife is a blue badge holder) for the 3 night duration. Luckily, on the departure day a space became available outside for us to load up. We spent the evenings in as the weather was cool. There is a smart TV but no comortable armchairs. We used the dining chairs, which are not ideal for watching movies.
