Beautiful Grade II listed apartment.

The property was immaculate and beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.

When booking I presumed this was an apartment so was pleasantly surprised to discover the full building was actually ours, and having free allocated parking right outside the door was super convenient too, with 2 spaces if needed. The building itself is huge and has so many gorgeous period features and stunning high ceilings, the internal decor was tasteful and kept in keeping with the age/style of the property - we were in awe at just how beautiful the building itself was. All of the rooms are really generously sized and we had more than enough space for the 3 of us for our 2 night stay. We were coming for a wedding so sadly didn't get much chance to spend a great deal of time in Leek itself, but the property was located bang on the high street. You couldn't get a more perfect location & you could be in the market hall or on the high street within 2 minutes of leaving the property which was really handy when we needed to quickly nip out, there's also an Aldi about 7 minutes walk away if you want to get some essentials for your stay. I would definitely revisit this property if I was coming back to Leek & would recommend to others - the rest of our group stayed at a hotel chain down the road and they were all very envious of our accommodation!

There were no curtains/shutters in the living room windows which faced out onto the high street & directly opposite a pub with quite a few people sat outside, so we felt a bit exposed when we had the lights on & it was dark outside. The duvets were quite thick & we couldn't find a fan in either of the wardrobes - I'm sure if we'd reached out this could have been sorted. It wasn't a major deal for us, but some fans might be a handy addition for people to easily access especially during the summer months. The main door was a little bit tricky to open and I can see some other reviewers have said the same so this might be something worth fixing, my mum had the knack but the other 2 of us struggled a little bit more! None of these are major issues and definitely would not prevent us from returning, but feel like reasonably small things that should benefit the overall experience for guests. :)

Great location in Leek, very quiet and peaceful sleep. Lovely bathroom!

Single beds were very firm....appreciate some like a firm bed, but too hard for comfy sleep.

Brilliant apartment. Very well equipped but also made to feel like a home which in my experience is very unusual. The addition of artworks and ornamental decorations really a big plus. Fantastic location which although central is very quiet at night.
