The location is absolutely fabulous, right on the beach. Great lounge where you can sit and watch the ocean whilst sipping a glass of wine from the honesty bar. Breakfast can be taken inside or outside and they say spotting dolphins is almost guaranteed. Well, we stayed one night and saw a huge pod of dolphins playing right in front of the hotel at breakfast. Gorgeous beach full of shells. Dinner at De Viswijf just a short drive away was a real treat.

The property was in an excellent location on the beach with magnificent views. Our room was sizeable with great panoramic windows looking out to sea. A comfortable bed was complemented with comfortable chairs ( to enjoy the view) and all amenities were provided. Steps down to the beach from the garden allowed easy access to the sea. Parking felt secure at the back of the property. Breakfast could be eaten inside or out on a veranda and was comprehensive. A self-service bar was very practical. Our hosts booked a dinner at an excellent restaurant for us as well as a taxi to get us there.

Checking in is “self check” in on an iPad which is a bit “fiddly” for those of us of a certain age and we had to be “rescued” by the staff! Whilst the room was very well equipped, the arrangement of bath and showers in the same room as the bed is not necessarily to everyone’s taste (maybe this is an “age” thing again!). A folding screen to provide a modicum of privacy when showering might be a thought!
