Ideal location. Peaceful, quiet with great views.

Location was great. Very peaceful with great views, and a great way to unwind. The lodge was reminiscent of an old caravan holiday from my youth.

All good. Was as billed, so nothing negative to add.

The location and views were perfect, and a lovely clean and well kept lodge.

Really nice location, easy check in and the cabins are very clean.

We had a number of small issues with bringing our dog. The accommodation is listed as pet friendly on Booking.com and on their business website but from experience I know that this usually means that not all the rooms are dog friendly so I sent a message immediately after booking to check we had the right room (5 months in advance) and got no reply. The actual website of the accommodation also describes it as 'dog friendly' with no mention of it being only one cabin. When I eventually got a message a month before the booking I raised it again and was told we weren't booked into a dog friendly cabin and that there were none left (there is in fact only one dog friendly cabin) but an exception could be made for another one. That was ok but meant we had to be extra careful and when we arrived the rules about dogs are quite strict. They are supposed to be on lead all the time even though we picked the cabins that were located in a grass field and we were being extra careful already because we were in a non-dog friendly cabin. Also, we were staying in a group across two cabins and had selected the accomodation due to it being dog-friendly so that we could move between ours and our friend's cabin freely with the dog. However we were told on arrival that the other 'Robin' cabin was *strictly* not dog friendly and so we couldn't socialise in there which meant we spent a lot more time apart then we hoped. I've had this issue a fair bit with booking.com and know its not always the business's fault, but I would expect a fair few more dog friendly measures if an accommodations lists itself as so e.g. a dog poo bin, some flexibility around off lead, more than one cabin that's bookable or at least making that clear. The cabins themselves are also quite small if you have luggage, there's limited space to store anything apart from under the bed. It would be a lot worse if using the sofa bed.

That is extraordinary living experience! Orkney Islands and such a specific accomodation, very clear, well-furnished small kingdom, really unforgotten!

Absolutely perfect. The best place to stay not only at Orkney but at Scotland. With the space available they have managed a perfect cabin. The views are gorgeous with all the nature next to you.
