Super Privacy Lakeshore Forest Home with Air Conditioners at Haller Lake

Sudden cancelation 20 minutes prior to check in. Refund is going to take 10 days to reach my account. In the mean time, I'm stuck without lodgings.

The private location was excellent for our needs. Being able to park next to the entrance was a big plus. Everything was super-clean and the hosts were responsive to questions.

Very minor but my wife said some more comfortable chairs in the living room would make it nicer to hang out there for more than two people.

What I like about the property is that everything was super private it’s super comfy

What I didn’t like about the property is that I locked myself out more than one time but the host was super fast to be there and assist me in a blink of an eye 👍🏽

I specifically booked this rental because it offered a hot tub/jacuzzi but there was not one anywhere. The house keeping obviously were not very attentive to detail because there was stuff on the walls, the shower /tub was very stained and dirty. And outside there was junk everywhere.

People would stop by and walk around without saying anything didn't know way there were there and it said in the ad 3 rooms but it was misleading one of us had to sleep on an uncomfortable couch only two rooms two beds

Close to public transit, very private space

Not cleaned very thoroughly, uncomfortable furniture, and no hot tub despite a hot tub being listed in the description, which was confusing.

Extremely quiet, private. Safe parking. Extra blankets were a plus!

The location was our main priority: It was right down the street from my brothers house and across the street from the community center where we were holding a Celebration of Life for a family member. The home was clean, comfortable, and the owner was very accessible for questions. The heaters worked well. When we left, there was very little that we had to do which was super convenient. We liked the Keurig coffemaker and pot for water.

The kitchen was sparsely equipped only two coffee mugs for example. So with three people we had to share. It would be good to have enough plates and cups for the number of people staying there. The bathroom could use a bathmat—we used a hand towel. The outside of the property was a bit muddy, it would be nice to have a walkway from the driveway to the porch. And some of the lamps had loose or tricky switches.

Tranquil, clean, rustic are all apt words for this property. When reading other reviews it appears the hosts took note. On our arrival the kitchen was spotless, there were adequate cooking utensils, pans, dishes etc to cook with. We were definitely able to create a home away from home experience much superior to a hotel stay.

The host was unaware that previous guest had been smoking marijuana inside but was responsive to the nuisance it caused us. A word of advice to future guests, please respect the rights of those who don’t smoke. Remember that a pleasure for you can be harmful to others. I work in healthcare and I’ve lost count of the number of patients I’ve worked with who had their first psychotic break because of marijuana use. But I digress. Other than the odor from previous guests the stay was quite pleasant.
