It was a very nice and quiet place, just like I wanted, friendly and lovely hosts, nice view, with good facilities. We were able to enjoy their garden and a nice dip in their jacuzzi. They have food and drinks menu but we were relaxing, so we were cooking our own food. They were showing us around, seems to be a nice place to host your party and events as well a wedding. A nice setup if you like the antic medieval vibes☺️

Both Luis and Djalma were amazing and hospitable, you can tell that they like having people around. When I booked, I wasn't expecting much, with the price, I was hoping to just have a lovely place to rest. Though to my surprise the host were amazing, they were so welcoming from the moment I got to the house all the way till when I left, eventhough I didn't speak Portuguese, they still took time to converse with me using a translator. The house is nicely decorated and has a lot of charm while looking out to the mountains and hills, I felt relaxed and calm during my stay.

Received a very warm welcome from the hosts Luis and Djama! Very beautiful historic place with lots of atmosphere and wonderful views on the ancient village and the surroundings. The dinner I can recommend! Beds are pretty hard which is good for your back. I had problems with my back about ten years ago and found a hard surface best to sleep on. It’s said to be healthy! Start training it here!!

The house was amazing, our 2 hosts were so friendly and helpful. We had the most amazing meals cooked by Luis, one of the host. It had a very nice outdoor area where we could sit with incredible views of the duoro valley.

The house is beautiful and the hosts are really nice and welcoming. They had really friendly cat and dog, and the view blew us away.

The bed was a bit hard, although comfortable

If we had come to Portugal just to stay at Casario do Vale, it would have been the trip of a lifetime. The inn is located in a beautiful and lovingly restored old farmhouse with an incredible sunrise view over the valley and terraces of vines and olive trees above. Luis and Djalma are incredibly gracious hosts who make every visitor feel like family. Casario do Vale is a European country inn dream come true!
