Arts House

Very clean beautiful house all the condition are meet.

We had breakfast at the accommodation sometime. There were restaurants nearby.

No hair dryer provided.

Beautifully and artistically appointed, everything worked, it was cosy once I figured out how to switch the CH on. Fantastic location and even managed to park right opposite during Shanty Fest weekend (though we got there early).

Nothing of any real consequence, or at least once I found the instructions, hence the 10 rating. The heating was off when we arrived and it took me a while to find the control (right next to the boiler) and as another reviewer mentions, the TV defeated us for a while, but once we found the folder for the house (on the bookshelf) we got it working fine. It would be better to leave the instructions folder on the coffee table perhaps.

Arts House was spacious, filled with arts and history and very comfortable. It was decorated tastefully and had a well-equipped kitchen. The beds were comfortable, bed lined cosy and fresh and the pillows were dreamy. The house was very clean and mirrors were well placed with well positioned plug sockets for hair dryers. The house was in a lovely and quiet old street, 5 minutes walk from the quay and a hop skip and a jump from there to the pier - great for a bite and a coffee. The house had little extras that made for complete comfort - lamps in the lounge and bedrooms, cushions and cosy blanket on the sofa, wonderful shower, plenty of space in the bathroom for all our toiletries! There were lots of books on all aspects of art, an interesting, large and eclectic collection of those things called records with a working record player too - wonderful to hear that old familiar velvety sound again! The little courtyard was private with lighting for that cheeky evening glass of wine outdoors. The heating was easy to switch on and the cooker very simple to use. We had a lovely stay and added an extra day to our break - thank you Paul for great communication too.

There was nothing we didn't like - the kettle didn't work at first and Paul was quick and eager to bring us a new one but it started working the following day. Everything was very clean in the house, however we found two greasy/dirty pans in the cupboard - a bit off putting but that would have been easily missed by the cleaner/owner and was clearly down to previous people who holidayed there. No real issues at all.

Absolutely loved our stay at this unique amazing property. So homely and comfortable. Will definitely be going back.
