Loved the South Island vibe.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The bathroom was very small with nowhere to put toiletries and towels.

The room was in an appropriate distance from the pub, so it was quite enough, despite the live music. It was spacious, accommodating two couples without uncomfortable exposure.

The floor covering (deep soft carpet) is not the best choice in this environment, at least not from practical perspective. I presume it is difficult to clean (as the dirt patches and dark spots collaborate) and it had a quite distinct smell.

Kind of a bit spartan and basic, but very clean, adequate, and given nothing else in the area then ok

Good location for the area. Helpful staff. Basic and a bit tired accommodation, but reasonable for price and location. Able to do easy day trips to lake Tekapo and Mt Cook
