Avoid this villa at all cost... We paid €350 per night (6 million IDR) for Villa Pono Pono at Bingin Palm Residence and had one of the worst accommodation experiences imaginable. I'm writing this review to save others from falling into the same trap we did. On New Year's Eve, the AC kept shutting off and we were left sitting in the dark. The staff told us there was a power outage affecting the entire Bingin area. However, we could clearly see that all neighboring properties had electricity throughout the day. The worst part? The staff was so incredibly incompetent that they had absolutely no idea what was actually going on. They couldn't help us troubleshoot or solve the problem. After spending over an hour investigating on our own in the middle of the night, we discovered the real issue: the villa's electricity bill hadn't been paid. The unpaid amount? A mere 17,049 IDR (roughly $1 USD). At 3am, we had to leave the villa, find a mini mart ourselves, and purchase an electricity token just to have basic utilities. The staff provided zero assistance with this - we figured out everything completely on our own. Had we not taken matters into our own hands, we would still be sleeping in sweltering hot bedrooms (which heat up terribly during the day, and you can't even open the windows because mosquitos would swarm in). And here's the real kicker: their only "apology" was offering to reimburse us the one dollar. What a joke. No acknowledgment of the incompetence, no compensation for being misled, no apology for ruining our New Year's Eve, no recognition that we had to solve their basic operational failures ourselves at 3am. For a villa charging premium prices, failing to maintain something as basic as prepaid electricity is inexcusable. Even worse was being deliberately misled about an "area-wide outage" and receiving absolutely no useful help from staff when we needed it most.
