"Peaceful stay surrounded by rolling green hills"

Unfortunately for us we arrived during the full impact of Cyclone Tam. Any plans to explore the hiking tracks on the property were dashed in favour of hunkering down and watching SkyTV. Thankfully, we only had a brief power outage otherwise, we would have had severe cabin fever! The bed is very comfortable and the linen was lovely. Nice views. More suited to families than a couple but it was nice to have space. The Colville General Store is well stocked for everything you might need - make sure you stop here before travelling over to the East Coast of the Coromandel as there's no other options.

The fire looked like it had seen some harsh times, so we opted not to use it. Water was leaking in through the flue due to the weather, it likely needs some maintenance. It could do with some more games and books for people to keep busy with, especially during bad weather. The information pack needs updating, and more suggestions of things to do in the area would have been useful.

"Would not stay again due to access."

People need to be made aware of the difficulty getting to the cabins before they book and pay. The dirt stony track, opening two farm gates, crossing a stony creek with water, is not great for a rental car. Linen is provided, but you need to make your own bed. There are only bunk beds available, which are very narrow and some difficulty in getting into without hitting your head, not ideal for elderly people, maybe great for kids. There is no ladder to climb up on the top bunks. The farm is 30mins drive from Coromandel and 5 mins from Colville, that really has only a small general store. You need to take supplies with you for eating. Lovely setting and great nature walks with waterfalls and a lovely pine grove. Not for the faint hearted, as you do tough it a bit!

"Restful and quiet."

The location was on the magnificent Coromadel Peninsula. What a place to live!! The home was lovely and extremely clean and well cared for.

I would have enjoyed meeting the staff but I understand that they are operating a working farm and therefore are not always available.
