Cazare Dom Pensiuni Vatra Dornei Bucovina cu Ciubar

Absolutely loved our 2 nights stay at Cucu Zen Dome! We had everything we need it in the Dome to make our stay smooth and easy. The view from the Dome terrace is breathtaking and we absolutely loved sipping our morning coffee while taking in the beauty of the mountains. We also enjoyed the outdoor BBQ during the evening and had a lovely dip in the stimming jacuzzi that we booked for one of the days. PS: Our fur baby wants to say a big woof to thank you for the hospitality!

This bubble in the mountain is a perfect place to escape from everything. It’s confortable and clean. The view is amazing. The owner is helpful.

We hadn’t understand, when we booked, that the spa wasn’t free of charge (60 euros per day), but it’s our mistake because it is written in the reservation…

The photos do not match the experience. We stayed for 2 nights at the Dome, hoping for a day of hot tub, sauna, and relaxation in the mountains. We arrived to a newly-dug gravel slope, the hot tub was empty and the sauna in the yard of the other cabin on the property. The dome’s build quality was laughable (splintery scrap wood poorly cut and nailed together, borderline unsafe construction such as electric sockets right beside the leaking sink, exposed wires everywhere outside and railings that can’t hold any weight). We ended up having a cozy stay in the dome regardless, and enjoyed the warmth of the fireplace on a rainy day, but wish it had been marketed as a bit of a camping experience rather than luxury. It is worth noting that we toured the cabin on the property after speaking with the people renting it. It seemed like much better value and was well built and finished, unlike the dome.

We felt the property was borderline dangerous due to the build quality. They did not provide what they market, and it was not the high-end experience they sell. The local village seems like it could really benefit from a rural tourism project like this is marketed as. However, we got the feeling that the owners were not local at all and this seems like a foreigner’s project. Of course that’s fine, we just felt like that it was not a build project made with a lot of care and attention like a small family business would be.

Amazing location for feeling the real vibe of Bucovina

The view is lovely, also the sound of the river that flows next to the tent. The fireplace creates a warm and cozy vibe.

The fact that they don’t use white bedsheets or towels. For me it is a must, because it’s an indicator of the cleanliness. Also the fact that there is no storage place, or any hanger.
