The beds were unbelievably uncomfortable. I don’t think in my whole life I’ve ever experienced a bed so uncomfortable. It was like lying on springs. They desperately need to replace the mattresses also, the bed coverings and towels were so old and thread bear even the furniture coverings were frayed. My husband and my son ended up with leg rashes from some sort of insect bites that they got overnight while in the beds. To top it off we were woken up at 2 am by a party of people coming in to the house who were very loud noisy, drunk and had no consideration for the guests who were trying to sleep. It was so bad we considered leaving at that time and driving back to Kinsale where we had a beautiful Airbnb. We only stayed in this house for one night because it was convenient for an event we had to attend in Clonakilty. I would not recommend for anybody to stay in this place. It needs a complete renovation of the rooms. The only thing they’ve done so far is put new carpeting in the rooms but they should really have started with the mattresses.

The rooms were very comfy with the carpets and cosy beds. Lovely big grand house and great views!

Some of the signs were misspelled and there wasn't a lot of privacy in the front rooms.

I loved the location with sea view. I found our host Victoria the best bnb host ever. She was exceptionable at her job with a warm welcome and seemed to be running the place all by herself which was some feat indeed.

I didn't realise that we would have a shared bathroom for 3 rooms together.

Eclectic work in progress. It has a great deal of potential and the beds were very comfortable.
