Cozy Private Room in a Beautiful Accommodation close to Orpington

Having most of the property to myself. You are the sole guest. Access to the fridge/freezer, kitchen and cooking facilities. Shower and toilet area were good, and clean, although don't lean on the sink when you get out of the shower! A room heater is provided but it takes time to heat the room.

The local area is the biggest concern. As has been alluded to in another review, this flat is above a set of shops and it can get rowdy. A TV isn't needed as it's like watching EastEnders out your window! The area is the armpit (politely put) of Orpington. The bed wasn't overly comfortable, but passable nonetheless. Not being able to open the window in your room was a little irritating, but there is a fan provided if it gets too hot.

The room was very clean, So were the bed sheets. The host is a truly nice and helpful person. The location is only a 10-15 minutes walk from St Mary Cray railway station. IMPORTANT: The entrance is up a stairway at the north side of the very first building on Sandway Road (number 4, the Kebab joint). Google Maps has this wrong and shows a different building further up the road.

Windows not very soundproof. Heard lots of shouting and swearing from the (rather rough) neighbourhood, even at night. The bed was awful to sleep in: Matress way too stiff, you could feel the individual springs. Parts of the bed were bent, so a part of your body would sink in at these spots. However the host promised to fix the issues with the matress and replace the bed.

Fantastic location within a short walk from the railway station, right by a reasonable shopping park with dining out facilities. An ideal base if looking to visit London, the train journey taking 20 minutes to get to London Victoria. Extremely clean with a friendly and accommodating host. A very competitive price, especially when considering the location.

It was hard to find, sat nav takes you quite a along the road. It is actually as you turn in from Sevenoaks Way and is up some stairs above a shop. I simply wanted a bed to sleep after a 260 mile motorbike ride. Bed was comfortable, everywhere clean. Price was good and friendly place. Downstairs outside the shop seems to be a bit of a local meeting point at the kebab shop, lots of noise and weed smoke drifting in the window, not a problem for me and shutting window sorts that out.

Finding it was a pain, at one point I parked opposite and still didn't see it.
