Cherry Tree Cottage, Aysgarth

Location was brilliant for exploring Aysgarth falls and nearby villages. It was really quiet on an evening making for a great night sleep. The cottage was lovely with well equipped kitchen, bathroom was great with bath and a shower. Bed was really comfortable too. The welcome pack was a lovely touch with the Wensleydale cheese and a couple of beers which was perfect for celebrating my husbands 50th birthday. The little garage down the street was handy to pick up some bits we had forgotten.

The cottage heating was a little tricky to figure out and due to the time of year it was a little chilly. We picked up some matches though to get the log fire going and it soon got cosy. The portable heater upstairs was handy to have too. It didn't detract from our enjoyment at all though and is to be expected in a cottage like this at this time of year. The tearoom and pub were shut when we stayed, the tearoom due to personal reasons of the owner and the pub I think was a seasonal closure. Just along a bit further though was the Aysgarth coffee house and gift shop and they did lovely breakfasts and cakes.

Very convenient location. Warm and tidy. Everything we needed for a short weekend break.

Suggestion only. Outdoor light would have been very helpful as we arrived in the dark.

Location, had everything in the cottage to make a comfortable stay

Lovely wee cottage, great value for August, very well situated for Wensleydale exploration particularly. Dog friendly useful to have fully enclosed back garden for dog. Lovely views of dales from seats in back garden. Friendly village pubs and well stocked garage. Nice walk to falls can pass two pubs on way back.

A lovely little cottage. Simple in style but everything we needed and perfectly situated for wonderful walks and good food

I couldn’t find the code for the keybox. I don’t know if that was my fault but the host gave it to me over the phone as soon as I rang him

Very comfortable and clean accommodation Well equipped kitchen and a very safe enclosed area for my dog Bed comfortable. Plenty of leaflets of things to do and where to eat etc Fantastic view out of kitchen window Even though cottage was on the main street it was surprisingly peaceful.

Welcome basket for humans and dogs! Stunning two up, two down! Enclosed garden was perfect for the dogs! Everything we needed including a washer and dishwasher! Bedroom and bathroom super huge with bath and separate shower! Great location, 10 mins drive from castle bolton where we went for a wedding.

Not even cheese was left for us in the fridge ha ha. We had no issues at all!
