Waterfront Oasis on Intracoastal with Pool - Just Renovated

The flexibility was super. The house was amazing

Very outdated property, wouldn't have booked. Based on the price I assumed that the property was updated and nice, it was very outdated and the furnishings need replacing.

Das Haus entspricht leider nicht mehr den Bildern, ganz schön in die Jahre gekommen. Das master bedroom und das hintere Bad entspricht noch am ehesten den Bildern, der Rest der Zimmer ist einfach abgebraucht und muss erneuert werden. Die Utensilien sind überwiegend vorhanden, aber nur das nötigste und auch zusammengewürfelt und alt. Ein extra gibt es nicht. Der Besitzer ist grundsätzlich bemüht und reagiert recht schnell. Leider überbewertet er seine Unterkunft und sieht keinerlei Kritik ein.

The home has a nice classic Florida open floorplan with large kitchen, dining area, and living room space. The master bedroom is separated from other bedrooms. There are multiple sliding glass doors to the pool deck. The back yard is attractive, with a dock on the intracoastal. We appreciated the washer & dryer in the garage :-). The location in a residential area keeps things low-key, which is nice.

It is a little older home, and though everything works and several areas have been renovated, the property could use some additional updates, such as replacement of sliding glass doors, a more barefoot-friendly pool deck, a few screens that need repairing, and an improved pool filtration system to keep the water cleaner. Also it would have been nice if the home had a kayak or stand-up paddleboard for guests to use.

The location was good and the furniture was pretty. The tile floors throughout were nice and the covered porch near the pool was a nice place to relax. But, please read below regarding the actual pool and the area around it.

The pool was COMPLETELY unusable as it was totally green with algae. This was a HUGE selling point for this property. Many other things were broken or out of date (like the knobs in the bathtub about to fall off, the sprayer in the kitchen sink broken, the ice maker in the freezer doesn't work, paint coming off in the kitchen and the ceiling peeling in the main bedroom bathroom, lights not functional outside or in and around the pool area, the vertical blinds - ALL SETS OF THEM- were missing blinds and some wouldn't even open/close- which means people can see you from outside EVEN IN THE MAIN BEDROOM. I have photos of all the things mentioned in this section. I'll try to find a way to post them somewhere. This could be a nice place to stay IF things were updated and maintenance actually done.
