NLI think the location is great. I love the liveliness of the market and its relatively quiet up in the apartments. If you prefer a quiet location though, this is not for you.
Everything that people are writing about hygiene is true. It's pretty dirty although I think some of the moldy smell is just because it's an old building. However, it just wasn't exactly clean. My biggest issue was that when I first got there I was put in a room that didn't have terrace (which I paid extra for), the bed and AC were broken and the tv was missing. I got switched to another room quickly so at least I had a non-broken bed and working AC, but they never got me a balcony, just told me all those rooms were booked. I didn't pay much extra, but still 100 shekels and just the fact that my room didnt meet my expectations because they overbooked was very disappointing. also another weird thing happened which I'm not sure is a booking error or accomodation error, but I got an email saying: thanks for your review -- even though I never wrote a review. When I went to look at the review it just said: fantastic... so now I'm changing the review but it's strange and makes me not completely trust other shorter reviews haha.
