"Beautiful, tranquil, green and pleasant"

Rachael and Gerry had provided a lot of really useful information on things to do and ideas of where to visit and so on, before we even arrived. On the day, there were chocolate brownies to welcome us, and the fire was ready to light. Given that the weather had turned autumnal, it was very welcome! The kitchen had the essentials so that we could make coffee in the morning - thankfully because I'd mistakenly picked up beans. Cosy, comfortable, stylish, with great picture windows to maximise the views. My mobility isn't always good, but the bathroom was accessible without losing any aesthetic appeal.

We didn't like to leave!

The location was perfect if you want a country retreat where the views are amazing and loads of great walks and country pubs to eat or drink. The cottage itself has been extremely tastefully renovated to a high standard and the comfort reflects this. We had everything we needed and were even welcomed with homemade brownies. The owners are so welcoming, friendly and very helpful to advise on where to go to eat drink and walk. Bakewell is only a short drive away and is a beautiful market town. We definitely found the perfect getaway.
