Erg Chigaga Desert Luxury Camp

Camp provided a guide to help us get to Erg Chigaga. Was a magical experience. Staff very helpful and camp deep in the Sahara desert.

What an extraordinary camp and an unforgettable experience! You'd be hard-pressed to find a better place to immerse yourself in all the wonders of the Sahara. The entire team are simply unparalleled in their attentiveness and hospitality. Every aspect of this camp is meticulously planned and flawlessly executed. The spacious tents boast huge, luxurious beds and well-appointed bathrooms complete with a refreshing splash shower, double sink, and proper flushing toilet. The culinary experience is nothing short of five-star quality, even amid the desert landscape, with a wide array of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available. Nestled in the heart of one of the largest dunes in the area, you're just steps away from some of the most breathtaking sights imaginable. Whether it's camel rides, visits to Nomad camps, quad biking, or sandboarding, this place offers an abundance of activities to suit every taste. Truly, a hidden gem in the desert!

To be honest, I was filled with anticipation about my trip to the Desert, but I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. However, it surpassed all my expectations! I was part of a yoga retreat, and we had the privilege of occupying their largest area of tents exclusively. I adored my individual tent, and the communal bar and dining tents, both equipped with air conditioning, were delightful. The staff went above and beyond—extremely friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. One of the highlights was ascending to the highest dune to witness the sunset with a glass of wine—a truly unforgettable experience. Another unforgettable moment was riding camels at sunrise. In the evenings, we enjoyed listening to the native music by the large campfire after dinner. Additionally, riding quads over the dunes added an extra layer of excitement to our trip. It's worth noting that the journey to the desert from Marrakech is quite lengthy, almost nine hours, with about 2.5 hours off-road. So, it's essential to be prepared for that. However, despite the distance, it's an experience that you absolutely shouldn't miss out on!

This experience was simply fantastic! The accommodations were impeccable—clean and incredibly comfortable. The staff was exceptionally attentive to all our needs, and the food was superb! We wanted for nothing during our stay. I highly recommend staying here, and I personally can't wait to return. You won't be disappointed!

The staff was incredibly warm and accommodating throughout our stay, ensuring a delightful experience. We relished the delicious and authentic cuisine served, savoring every bite. The music by the campfire added a magical touch to our evenings, creating unforgettable memories. The camel ride to the camp was a highlight, offering stunning views of the sunset against the desert backdrop. Our room was not only spacious but also provided a comfortable retreat after adventurous days.

Though there was only lukewarm water for morning showers, it was a minor inconvenience amidst an otherwise exceptional experience.

What an incredible experience! From the moment we arrived until our departure, the staff demonstrated utmost professionalism and hospitality. The New Year's Eve dinner and show surpassed all expectations, leaving us in awe. The tents offered exceptional comfort; while there was no heat, ample blankets ensured warmth throughout the chilly desert nights. Additionally, they generously provided djellabas for those unprepared for the colder temperatures, ensuring everyone's comfort and enjoyment.
