AUElpida was super friendly and accommodating, very responsive with messages and always tried to make sure I was comfortable. An impeccable host! The room was cosy and comfortable too.
The bathroom ceiling seemed a bit low and very close to my head as someone who's 6 foot, but it was very well maintained and comfortable once you got used to it.

Elevator confusing doors
ROI chose this location because I needed a very short one-night stay, as I was leaving at 5 in the morning. However, I was about to discover the most welcoming host in Thessaloniki. Everything went with very little friction. At the entrance, in a lockbox with a code, you’ll find the keys you need. The place has an elevator. There, I was greeted by the owner, Elpida – who, even though she was working, happily came to help me and show me around. The actual location was very tidy, clean, and extremely welcoming. The hallway, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom – all are spacious and ready to host guests. Also, the wi-fi works excellently (just make sure you select the correct one), and the air conditioning was new and very good. The room even has a nice desk, very useful in situations where it’s needed. One last aspect I’d like to mention is related to the atmosphere of the place. Whether you’re staying just one night or for a longer period, you will find an extremely welcoming and cozy home. Small touches, such as candies in the room or other little gifts, along with different decorations with welcoming messages, make you feel even better than at home. And, on top of that, you’ll also notice icons reminding you that this is the home of a respectable and God-fearing person. Among them, there is one of Saint Sophia and her three daughters: Pistis, Elpis, and Agapis. And if you’re not Greek :) and pay a little attention, you’ll realize you’ve arrived in the house of Hope. One of the most welcoming and beautiful hosts I’ve ever met – and perhaps ever will. And the cherry on top is that all these things come at the lowest accommodation price I could find in Thessaloniki, or at least near the airport and the KTEL bus station. I wholeheartedly recommend that you don’t miss out on Elpida as a host! ❤
