The staff were very friendly and helpful - they went above and beyond - offering to pick me up and drop me off from the bus, the boat tour, organised a tour and the train for me, etc. They were very kind and supportive. It’s a relaxed vibe next to the beach. Very colourful funky place. Cooked a yummy dinner with fresh local prawns.

"Superb"

It's very clean as the owner cleans regularly. The beds are comfortable. Nice rooftop area from which you can watch the sunset over the beach. Drinking water available. Enough power outlets to charge your electronics. The owner was very friendly. It's a quiet street away from traffic so there's no outside noise.

The location on the map on Booking is wrong, the hostel is actually a 15 minute walk further away. I had to give the owner my passport for him to take it somewhere else outside the hostel to get it photocopied, but I feel very uncomfortable letting my passport out of my sight. Lots of mosquitoes and it got hot at night (there's a ceiling fan but the air doesn't reach you if you're in the bottom bunk bed). Sometimes the water would stop coming out of the tap.
