Close to the beach, the host is very nice.

The room is a bit small for a family of 4, no AC.

It’s beautiful architecture and such a unique experience. Host was great too. Beach is literally 30 steps away and it opens up to entire coast!

We discovered Casa Bajura through Condé Nast top places and it ended up being our favorite stay of the trip. The design and art were stunning, the breakfasts were incredible, and morning beach walks felt like our own private escape. Javier was a warm, welcoming host, and we only wish we could’ve stayed longer.

We originally booked a resort-type location for our vacation to PR but switched over to Casa Bajura on a "tip" from a friend. We were not disappointed. I could write volumes about how pleased we are with the stay and personal attention Javier provided as our host. I was particularly impressed with the cultural ambiance of Casa Bajura - intrigued by the visual representations of Puerto Rican history and the physical space of the building and rooms. Of particular note was the shower. Because Casa Bajura is uniquely designed to capture ocean breezes, there was a delightful "outdoor" beach shower experience in the bathroom (if you leave the bathroom door open), which nostalgically reminded me of when I was a kid growing up at the Jersey shore and taking showers outside. Air conditioning is available in the rooms but we found the ocean breezes pleasant enough to maintain a comfortable temperature. The pool temperature was perfect and placement of the pool within the living area was aesthetically pleasing and convenient. For those wishing to experience local culinary delights, Casa Bajura is most definitely your destination! Breakfast each day was provided in a timely manner and the variety and quality of the food was exceptional. Javier takes great care and attention in providing guests with culturally diverse foods and treats from local bakeries and markets. The location of Casa Bajura is optimal for those wishing to explore local beaches (Jobo's Beach was our local hang out), with restaurants, bars and shops very close by. We explored Isabela and Aquadilla as well, which is a short distance from Casa Bajura.

Wonderful breakfasts, friendly and very helpful hosts who made great suggestions on what we should see and do.

Javier’s place was exquisite; Inventive design, and great location in the heart of town a few hundred yards over the dunes to the beach. Every detail was well considered. He was a superb host: had great suggestions for exploring the area, and he and his wife prepared a delicious breakfast. I would love to return.

La ubicación es privilegiada. Esta a pasos de la playa. Esta a unos dos minutos en carro hasta Playa Jobos. El lugar es hermoso, tranquilo, cómodo. La atención del dueño fue excepcional. El desayuno incluido es realizado por los dueños del lugar y nos encantó. Bolvería a hospedarme definitivamente. 10/10.

Loved Casa Bajura! We stayed at the Jobos'suit and enjoyed every little detail from its suit's decorations to the delicious breakfast cooked and served by the owners. Beach is only steps away from the property.
