Bardzo przyjemny apartament, czysty i w pełni wyposażony. Do dyspozycji był także obszerny taras. Idealnie położony nad samą plażą. Sympatyczni właściciele.

Huge shared terrace and garden right in front of a beach that we actually had for ourselves (We were staying on the ground floor apartment with our 2 teenagers). The apartment is like on the pictures. The small terrace on the other side is nice when it's windy on the beach side. We loved all the gifts that were waiting for us: bottle of wine, of water, drinks for kids, breakfast, cookies, chips, etc. Thank you Eleonora!

Lack of internet and air conditioner

We chose Avola as a base to explore Ortigia, Noto and the coast below Catania. La Casetta del Borgo Marinaro was so nice we wished we had more than three nights there. Eleonora and her family are such sweet and kind hosts and very welcoming. The accomodation is very well equipped and super clean. The appartment is on the ground floor, with it's own terrace at the rear of property, a table and chairs to enjoy breakfast in the morning sun, a bbq and a clothes dryer. The terrace isn't overlooked by any other properties, backing onto the rear garden and feels like a very natural setting. We were provided with bottled water, shampoos and soaps, laundry liquid, a washing machine, an eco coffee pod machine, salt, pepper, olive oil, butter and a bowl of delicious Sicilian lemons! Great shower and comfy bed - bunk beds in the living area so good for a family. There is also a big shared terrace at the front that looks over the large lawn and out to sea. We had a great afternoon nap there on the sunloungers! The location is on the edge of old Avola next to a small parade of very good cafes, gelaterias and restaurants, leading to the ruin of an old tuna factory. The beach right outside the gates of LCDBM is sandy, clean, shallow for a long way and the sea is warm and calm. Parking at the property is by the house, accessed via electronic gate. Eleonora got us to fill in a form and then she sorted out ZTL access. It's a short drive to Ortigia and Noto and just under an hour to Catania airport. We also found a good location to snorkle a ten minute drive away and Avola town is a few minutes by car. Great host and charming setting. Loved it!

It’s a lovely apartment to stay in the area. The facilities are great, everything you could wish for with shampoos, shower, washing, teas, coffees, everything. The hostess couldn’t do enough for us. Always checking if we needed anything. Beautiful patio area to sit and eat or relax with plenty of sunbed etc overlooking the sea. Within easy reach, minutes of great restaurants.

Only thing we found was the living room had bunk beds to cater to families of 4 so there was only chairs and a table to sit if you wanted to stay inside. It would have been better for two people if it was a bed settee.
