Le site est peu commun (chambre dans un banian), tout près du volcan et très paisible. Nos hôtes, Robert et son épouse sont charmants, attentionnés, nous avons pu faire les visites qu'il conseillait et avons très bien mangé.

I couldn’t wait to write this review as soon as I returned to Sydney. Robort and his family were incredibly friendly and helpful. They assisted me in arranging all my trips, including how to get to the treehouse, transportation to the airport, booking flight tickets, visiting the volcano, and even took me to the celebration. When I didn’t have enough cash to buy a ticket, Robort kindly helped me cover 600 Vatu—I’m truly grateful for that. His daughters were also adorable and guided me through the local tribal culture. They were all very patient. The condition of the treehouse was better than I expected. While it’s inevitable to see some small bugs, I didn’t encounter any rats. The treehouse is located right opposite the entrance to the volcano, just a two-minute walk to the ticket office—very convenient.

"Comfy, relaxing, away from everything"

7.0

Good location if you’re going up the volcano, however hard to get anywhere else without paying expensive amounts for a lift somewhere. Very welcoming though, food was fantastic, bed was comfortable and provided with mosquito netting for the night. Bring a portable charger or 2 as power is limited and only switched on for a few hours at night.

"One night is fine, for budget travelers and volcano convenience"

7.0

The food was delicious, and location unbeatable. The entire street is all family so it's very safe / they all know one another. Negotiate to get 3000 vatu transport to/from the airport (one person, one way)

Cockroaches in the treehouse, roosters wake you up in the middle of the night, and though I told Lena several times to do breakfast later, and not at 730 or 8am, she still woke me up at 7am, and made breakfast then so by the time I went down to eat it was cold. Not much else in the area to do- don't go to Sulphur Bay hot springs, it's dirty, shallow water and not a nice/easy walk to get there. Also, the villagers will just stare, take your money, and it's not relaxing at all.

It's location is beautiful and far from the town in the mountains by the volcano.

The constant need to pay high local taxi prices in order to get around town. There are no buses, no car rentals, and no way to get around apart from walking, or hiring a local driver.

Lena and her family were great hosts; very kind and easy going. Meals were delicious and in large proportions. The proximity and the view of the volcano were superb.

The communication about services was disappointing. When we arrived we were told there was a water shortage and that we should purchase our drinking water. The shower did not function but there is a bucket to rinse with. These are not deal breakers but it's appreciated to know these things beforehand.
