The hidden Retreat on Haumann

The house was lovely, all crockery, linen and furnishings were great.

We were booked in and did not see any staff until we had to leave. The house was not serviced. We had so many mosquitoes, I messaged for the bedrooms to be sprayed and received a reply 3 days after we left.

Very good location, just off the main road with many activities just around the corner. House is spacious with nice garden but the trees block the sun after the morning mostly. Pool pump kind of noisy during the night and some spaces were not that clean. All in all would recommend to stay here

Location, spacious villa, clean, pool.

A few small things, e.g mattresses not the best, no breadknife or teaspoons, and a couple of fittings require fixing. No wood braai, only gas.

Luxurious accommodation close to town. Very well equipped

GARAGE WAS USED FOR STORAGE .VERY DIRTY AND YOU HAD TO DO YOUR WASHING IN THERE SWIMMING POOL DIRTY ONE OF THE BEDS IS DESPERATELY IN NEED OF A NEW MATRASS HAD TO GO AND BUY 3 GLOBES FOR BEDROOMS NO HANGERS IN CUBORDS

The trees had grown a lot since our last stay in the property so the garden was much more in the shade than we remembered

Comfortable and spacious home. Great location. Walking distance to the restaurants in town and the wine tram. The pool to combat the extreme heat in summer. The water is very cold though.

Nothing that we disliked about the property. It’s a great setting for family/friends. Communication needs improvement. We were not made aware that the fridge was switched off when we arrived. We only realised hours later that our food and drinks weren’t being kept cool, and had to put it on ourselves. Then when loadshedding started, the power would constantly switch on and off, and the fridge alarm would beep non stop. We had to reach out to ask what was going on after which they clarified that it was as a result of the generator and loadshedding. The fact that this happens when loadshedding takes place could have been proactively communicated to us to avoid confusion and frustration. We understand that loadshedding happens, that isn’t an issue.
