Il Girasole Bed and Breakfast

We were greeted by the very friendly host upon entrance, who showed us the room, and gave us some recommendations for food and shops. The room itself was clean and looked like the pictures, the balcony had a great view over the mountains.

Good location with parking. Very well kept and furnished. Very clean. Samatha was terrific. She gave us a warm welcome and was very helpful with suggestions. She did a great job with morning breakfast.

It was cleans

We booked a twin and got a double bed which is unacceptable. They told us they expected us to pay a surcharge for a camp bed if we wanted one even though we had booked a twin. They accepted that we would not pay it but the entire experience felt like a scam. There is no excuse for listing a twin room when you should list it as a double that can add a bed with a surcharge - it’s a complete scam. Luckily I myself have property on this platform so I know exactly how that works. The toilet seat was so high that you can’t touch the ground with your feet (I’m 5ft 6) so using the bathroom was difficult and they didn’t provide enough toilet paper. Breakfast was such a dismal offer (highly processed supermarket food, nothing fresh - shrivelled apples are not fresh food) that I didn’t eat anything. In the reviews it was said that breakfast was excellent so this was really annoying. There were no staff on site it seemed once check-in was over.

Amazing!!!! I wish I could have stayed another night. The place was delightful. Right on the Via Francigena route. The breakfast was great and we even took some snacks for our walk. I would definitely stay here again.
