Starhost - Mazzini Apartments

Perfect size for couples and families of three. It is located in one of the nicest parts of Salerno, within walking distance to the train and bus station and the ferry stop. If you would like to stay in a clean and safe place and travel to Pompei and towns across the Amalfi Coast without any hassle and extravagant costs, this is the deal to take!

Everything was so lovely, clean, and convenient. The hosting team is super attentive and helpful. The flow of shower water could have been stronger, but that’s not a big problem!

The property it self had everything you needed to enjoy your stay. Comfortable bed, Good equipped kitchen, spacious. It is located a short walk from the train station. Also across the street is the boat harbour where you can catch the ferry to the Amalfi Coast towns.

The apartment block has a restaurant underneath the building and surrounded by roads on all sides. It fronts a very busy road which. It was very noisy at night even though I had ear plugs I could still hear the traffic and people talking in the streets. The hot water in the shower was hit and miss also.

You could hear everything that was happening above, below and in the next door apartment, but this is on the building nothing the apartment could really do about this.

Perfect location and very comfortable. A few blocks from the fast train and across the street from the fast ferry to Amalfi, Positano, etc. Near restaurants and shopping. Excellent staff. Loved the inexpensive pizza and other delicious food nearby.

Occasional city traffic noise at night. Clothes washer but no dryer, so had to hang dry.

Great spot, convenient. Hosts were very helpful and efficient.

Only comment is the shower water pressure is low. Probably not in the hosts control.

The security was well managed and felt safe. Location of the apartment was very close to buses trains and ferries. Cleanliness of the apartment. Facilities/products were provided accordingly to length of stay appropriately. Very spacious apartment.

Some communication was overcomplicated in respect of the rubbish / recycling schedule - didn't appear that the rest of the city adhered to any rules as bins were difficult to locate and rubbish was scattered in the street (clearly not the accommodations fault though) However, I did spend a lot of time scraping stickers off glass bottles before realising I must have been the only person in salerno doing it. Could have spent that time better on holiday! Ha I had seen pictures on booking.com with a balcony and hadn't realised there are 2 apartments, and we clearly got the one without. I was disappointed as this was a selling point for me, and I chose this one over another place :(
