Didn’t like the doors were coded, didn’t feel safe, using the loo would of been a pain, having to put a code in every time, booked and stayed somewhere else

Great location within walking distance of the town centre. The shared kitchen was very nice.

The heating was on a timer so we had no control over the temperature and it got quite cold overnight and in the morning.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff member who helped me use the door entry system and made sure I was happy with my room.

Highly recommended. The en suite room very clean and comfortable. Easy access to the building (smart lock). Excellent location close to the train station. Very friendly host and staff. Will definitely return during my business trips.

The "private" bathroom for my 1st floor room was on the ground floor, through the kitchen and utility room and freezing cold. I was not informed of this until the afternoon of check in; too late to find another room. I travelled to Wigan for a friend's wedding, it was not at all suitable to shower downstairs and try to get ready partly there and partly upstairs. When I called the owner to request a discount, he 100% refused. He stated that if I had contacted him as I checked in I could have had a PARTIAL refund in return for staying ELSEWHERE!! Unbelievable! No time to find somewhere else when the wedding was 5pm and anyway, I should not have had to - there's a bathroom on the 1st floor, why not let room 6 occupant use it? Not even a sink in room 6 - do you honestly expect guests to walk up and downstairs + all the way through the kitchen to a freezing cold bathroom just to brush their teeth?? For £65/night in a single room? Daylight robbery!! Travelodge is only £35 with ensuite bathroom, SA Stays is an absolute rip off! They only provide complete information AFTER you are fully charged for the room - do yourselves a favour and don't stay there.
