A Lovely and comfortable Home

It was nice

Booked last minute to crash for the night after an event, to check out the following morning. The host was available, responsive, communicated clearly and sent all the details and instructions at short notice. I arrived near midnight and the instructions helped a lot as no-one else was around but the host offered to be available, should he be needed. The room itself was surprisingly spacious, clean and very comfortable for the price - so great value for money. I didn't use any of the other facilities like the shared kitchen or bathroom so can't comment on those but the sheets were freshly washed and clean, with a pleasant crisp scent of fresh laundry. The room was perfectly warm and cosy, had power plugs, thoughtful touches for tea, coffee and some biscuits. The next morning, the bus stop was under a 5 min stroll away, through a quiet residential area and local park, with the bus taking under 20 mins to get to Manchester Piccadilly station. Super convenient if you're here for a short while and need to get to & from the station / Etihad stadium or Co-op Live arenas. Highly recommend!

Good size room and bed

Didn't receive the 'check in' email until I was already traveling, these need to go out day before!

Comfortable bed. Good power shower.

Bearing in mind the cost of the accommodation I was surprised that my request for a few sachets of coffee for the room was refused which I thought was a bit mean, instead being reminded of house rules to bring own food, but did get a few tea bags. Room had no drawers in room, rocky table, lack of suitable sockets meant extension cord draped along carpet made for an untidy room. Room fridge had been set to 7, meant my milk was frozen next morning; should have been previously checked. Kitchen a bit tired looking and cutlery drawer doesn’t open/shut properly. Tv buffering for a couple of days meant it was unusable for that period.

Perfect for what we needed, clean and tidy with good facilities.

Its location to where I needed to be

Having to ring the owner to find out where the key to my room was hidden so that I could get into my room. Waited on the stairs for a good 5 minutes following an ansaphone message to him, with no return phone call so had to ring again. As a disabled person I had to get permission for my son to help me take my suitcase to my room and the reverse on leaving. Found the rules laid down very restrictive.
