AUWe loved everything about our stay at Hendra Barns. A beautiful rural property consisting of several stone farmhouses, offering various types of accommodation. We stayed in the 2 bedroom portion of the large farmhouse. It was open and spacious, with a lovely well equipped country kitchen, great oven, dryer and washing machine. Upstairs the beds were very comfy and the decor delightful. Outside we shared a spacious, manicured lawn, rotunda and a lake. Our helpful hosts were also kind enough to provide, fresh milk, tea, jam, scones and Cornish clotted cream, the perfect place to stay!
Part of the road to the property is narrow and bumpy, but worth the effort.
GBI didn't realise how black the sky was, there is zero light contamination here. So quiet and lovely settings and with Ken and Maggie living near by, nothing is an issue and they are pleased to help.
The road down Hendra Barns is a bit rough so take it steady. I got the hang of it within a day or so.
