Quinta Morazes Casas de Campo

We stayed in the Casa de Pedra. The space is huge and very well furnished - we could have stayed here weeks. Lovely rock finish, all the amenities you would need, complete kitchen with eeeeverything you would need. Good breakfast every day. Very well cleaned, super comfy bed... really very little to complain! We valued a lot the feeling of private - it is separate from the other two rooms, the gardens are beautiful and you feel you are in your own space. We had bad luck with the weather but the outside table under plants looked like a super nice space to chill. There is a washing machine on premises (outside of apartment) but no drier. For me the measure of a good property comes when there are problems, how they are managed by the host. We had a problem with the shower, it flooded the room and made some of our clothes wet. Mind you, this is a very damp place (hard to dry things). This was partly our fault (we showered together and one of us stepped on the shower drain, which made water accumulate and flood everything). The host managed this SUPER well. He showed up, brought chemical to try to unplug the drain. He apologized sincerely to us, apologized for not being possible to find a plumber in a weekend on low season. He offered to pay for using a dryer at a laundromat in town. Again, this was not entirely their fault. EXCELLENT VALUE and supporting a local business.

There are bugs. Few. No representation of lack of effort - you can see they are cleaning well. I loved the sign they put explaining - this is a super humid location out in relatively rural place. Bugs are just a thing. Again, no feeling of this being from not being clean and careful, it is impossible to keep them out without doing something harmful (like strong chemicals). Not flies or anything annoying, but on the ground. This was perfectly find but I just want to point this out for anyone super sensitive to this. My partner can be 'jumpy' with bugs and we had no problem.

Habia cucarachas y entraba agua de lluvia con las ventanas cerradas del salón. La habitacion doble olía a humedad.

Personnel très serviable, le petit déjeuner complet, la grandeur de l’appartement et la terrasse privée. Nous n’avons malheureusement pas pu profiter du grand terrain à cause de la météo mais en temps ensoleillé celui-ci doit être exceptionnel!

L'appartement était magnifique, très confortable, très propre, on s'y est vraiment senti bien! Les paniers petit déjeuner tous les matins nous ont régalés. On a eu une panne de wifi durant notre séjour, on l’a signalé le matin et ils ont appelé dans la journée la compagnie, le lendemain c'était réglé. Heureusement, bien sécurisé et à bonne distance de Rabo de Peixe, on s'y est senti en sécurité. Le domaine entouré par un grand mur est très beau et reposant
