The Pyramid Ubud River Villas

The shape of the bungalow is pretty cool! My shower was outside and I liked it with the sun was soo good, but you have to calculate the incovenience as is outside we found poo of mice the morning later. Air conditioning was working so good. Pool was adorable and the location a bit hidden from the traffic so nice 😊

Breakfast wasn’t really special, butter was expired but still not too bad. Maybe a little land were to chill down or doing yoga was good but we didn’t found any free grass or place in the area of the property.

Hosts/staff were absolutely amazing, polite, helpful and kind. Location isn't exactly central, but you do get the feeling of being out in nature. There's a river down the road and a small shrine (15-20minutes walk) from the property. Breakfast was very good (2 different options) and prepared on the spot by the amazing hosts. You can have your breakfast in the cozy upper deck of the main communal area with a view to nature. My room (wooden pyramid shaped shack) was very cozy, had a mosquito net, comfortable bed and lovely front porch with a view to nature and later in the evening, the sunset. Shower is taken under the sky, interesting feature. I really enjoyed my stay and would come back in the future.

Unfortunately the A/C wasn't working as I expected it to be, during the day it can get uncomfortably hot. Wifi was a little unstable at times (maybe because I was in the last shack). There are three other properties going under construction next to the Villa, noises can be a little annoying at times.

This was a charming romantic property . For a short stay …My villa was adorable … the pool is the saving grace. I saw the most beautiful sunsets from there. The staff are lovely, and would love to help you … they do their best but the language barrier is just to great. So be prepared. To be on your own …When I arrived I had a beautiful view… but that was changing as I was leaving … I was there 32 days.

The name is missing leading, it is 25/20 mins south east of UBUD. In a new subdivision, a long ways off the main road. Transportation options, if you ride a scooter you are golden you can rent from them .. otherwise get a driver, & GoJek.. The area is exploding with new construction all around the property & including the property as they are expanding. I loved my villa, but it got way too hot during the day & the air con just could not keep up. It doesn’t help that it had gaps in the construction… I had a couple cute gecko 🦎 living with me ! I loved my out door shower .. however the shower head need to be replaced along the moldy shower curtain. There isn’t a true kitchen on the property. They make a omelette or pancake for breakfast with fruit toast.. but that’s done on hot plate .. so GRAB or GoJek are your options for food . Each villa would benefit from a small refrigerator…

Really nice remote place with rice fields around. Helpful staff. Nice pool and breakfast view. Nice for a retreat in peace

A little bit remote if you want to visit many things in 1 day

The peace and quiet from the location was great. The AC in room 14 worked well (after moving from room 13). The pool was beautiful over looking the rice fields. The space in the bathroom was also appreciated. Agus is very easily reachable and accommodating, and helpful if he can.

First we had to ask to move because the AC wasn’t working but only because I suggested it. There is no privacy when it comes to the noise from the other rooms, you can hear absolutely everything! There was a bad smell coming out of the bathroom so strong that we had Palo Santo and incense burning to cover it up. The shampoo/shower holders were broken and leaked on the floor, when I mentioned it, no one has replaced/refill (a good thing I travel with my own). The breakfast was very limited (a very flat, like a crepe, omelette, 5 pieces of papaya and watermelon and 1 cup of tea) most of the time we had breakfast in ubud centre rather than there. Then the last thing I’d rented an Nmax for 150k/day (which is more than anywhere I stayed before in Bali, I live in Jakarta so I come to Bali quite a lot), the bike was old and ended breaking on us on our last day 10km from the accommodation. I think the bike should be checked or replaced, it’s absolutely not worth 150k/day.

Atmosphere/ambience in general is really nice. Staff is extremely kind, helpful and approachable. It is possible to rent motorbikes which is a must-have if you are looking to stay in this place (because of being remote). It is very close to Monkey forest and a few nice waterfalls and in a fair distance to mount Batur area and lake.

I can't say that I didn't like. I liked it very much, I can only mention about a few minor improvement points: 1) Trying a few times from different phones, I couldn't reach to anyone from the villas when I landed at 7pm to Denpasar Airport. I travelled more than one hour with a taxi and was worried if there will be anyone to meet me. But there is people to welcome you so don't worry! 2) You definitely need a driver organised for you in advance if you don't want to be ripped off by the airport taxi drivers! It can be significantly cheaper. 3) Definitely book your motorbike in advance since this place is little remote and make sure you are going to have a good helmet. 4) If you are staying longer than a few days, you may look for some variety in breakfast.

The views were amazing, everything was clean and looked like the pictures. Made was super nice with us.
