Old Town St Tryphon Apartment

Can’t beat the location. The kitchen & living area were nicer than the rest of the unit.

I felt the pictures didn’t accurately portray the apartment. It was more dated than it looked. One of the bedrooms didn’t have air conditioning so was very hot. There was no toilet paper but later 2 rolls were dropped off. We had to go buy more as there was 5 of us. Not enough bath towels. I also think having a lockbox on the front door would make more sense than trying to meet up with someone to get the key. Parking was a bit of a pain but that’s nothing to do with the apartment.

Local contact did not speak english and it was very difficult to communicate with her. In addition, she was always late to appointments if she even showed at all. House was not properly cleaned. Toothpicks above the beds and previous tenants travel information lying in the apartment. Exposed electrical sockets and cabinets not attached. Paper thin walls, noisy outdoors. Awful sliding doors on the bedrooms. Two toilet rolls for seven people. We had to delay our plans because the local contact didnt show to our appointment. Also delayed when we were leaving so we had to make the taxi wait.

The worth apartments that you can book in Kotor! 1) doesn’t look like on photo. 2) rooms are extremely small, you can’t even walk. In one room there was no wardrobe or something like that. 3) air conditioner was broken. In the middle of the July it felt like in the desert. 4) manager is local woman who speaks only Serbian, will not answer your calls and help you. Be ready to translate her rare messages through translator. 6) dirty and bad smell 7) water from air conditioner was dripping into my face whole night , felt myself as under the rain

Location was very central.

The pictures are what the apartment looked like probably 15 years ago. Tiny rooms, air conditioning is not working so you have to keep windows open. Paper thin walls so it wouldn't have helped to keep them closed. The bells from the Cathedral and the street noise throughout the night means it is impossible to sleep even with ear plugs. Only one roll of toilet paper for 3 days, 4 people in booking. The 'local manager' does not speak a word of English and didn't show up to collect keys. The downstairs bathroom has a fan that makes a squealing sound for 5-10 minutes when you turn on the light that wakes up everyone in the apartment. Two of the rooms have 'doors' that are basically wooden panels that are very difficult to roll side to side. One room has zero storage space for clothes or even the bag really. I have been at hostels that are better than this place. Do not do the mistake we did and book this place.
