UpperRoom Ceres -Indoor Braai

The location on the northern edge of town in a quiet street was perfect. If I had more time in the evenings I would definitely have used the well equipped braai in the unit.

Venetian blinds are not very good at blocking out sunlight. I would prefer a normal light switch for the bathroom, rather than motion activation of a bright light in the middle of the night. These are, however, extreme nit picking.

We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation, thanks to the exceptional hospitality of our host, Wikus. From the moment we arrived, Wikus kindly guided us and ensured we felt welcome. The thoughtful preparation of welcome fruits, chocolate, and a well-stocked fridge with water, juice, and milk was greatly appreciated. The accommodation itself was equipped with everything we needed, allowing us to stay comfortably for two days without any inconvenience. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant and hassle-free stay.

Everything, absolutely everything has been thought of and supplied. Piping hot water was always available. Very impressive that indoor braai did not smoke into the room at all. Hosts happily provide more wood if needed, in fact, provide anything you want. Welcoming bowl of fruit and sundry beverages in the fridge. Very private; come and go as you please.

It did not bother me, but the iron steps up to the upper room must be taken into account if you have any problems with mobility.

This was an amazing one-night stay and by far the best we had in South-Africa. And in a month's time, we've stayed in a lot of different stays for a night and locations throughout South-Africa! The place was very clean, had a spotless bathroom with a shower, and beautiful homemade sink. For dinner, we used an airfryer (never seen that before in one of our stays). And the absolute pinnacle of this accommodation was the indoor braai! We loved it!! It gave warmth and a delicious dinner. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The room was filled with some welcoming treats. When we come back in a few years we'll definitely go back to UpperRoom Ceres! And maybe even hire their UpperRoom on Wheels to explore Cederbergen. The owner showed us some pictures of it, and it looked just as awesome and clean as the UpperRoom accommodation.

Nothing particular. If you're looking for a garden, this doesn't offer one. It's an upper room and has a balcony. For some, this can be a disadvantage. But we didn't mind at all.
