Villa Yamagara with lake view

What a beautiful property and location! It's clear the owner has put a lot of effort and dedication to make this a special place. The views from the living room are amazing, just staying in and make dinner was the most relaxing time we had in Japan. Beds are super comfortable, wifi works really well, the shower and huge bathtub are great. The surroundings are really quiet. It's and the end of a cul de sac uphill, nice workout if you're up to, otherwise just get a taxi. Also the owner allowed us to check in one our earlier, which helped us visit a few nearby places that same day before sunset, really appreciated! We'll definitely come back if we have the opportunity. This property was one of the the highlights of our visit to Japan.

オリーブオイルとかはなかったので、持参された方が良さそうです。 バスローブ、大きなバスタオルはなかったですが、 バスタオルはあったので大丈夫です。

Everything. Photos don’t do it justice. This was the nicest place we stayed at in Japan.

What we loved: -Beautiful wood design and aesthetic throughout -Functional kitchen -Soaking tub for two was a standout feature -Great view and peaceful back porch -Exceptionally responsive and helpful host -Smart TV for relaxing nights

It would be helpful to have more detailed instructions in English in the house manual—how to use the tub, washing machine, heating system, how to use the "coffee maker" including the grinder (ie must grind slowly for it to work), and expectations for check out (eg what to do with used towels for example). Just a bit more guidance would go a long way and reduce the number of questions received! Only other suggestion is to swap the queen bed with a king -- it would be tight but make a huge difference!
