Montpelier Nevis

Fabulous location in the iconic setting of an old plantation with ocean views. Wonderful breakfast, dinners and rum punches. Friendly staff. Beautiful private beach.

The staff was amazing, kind , generous and accommodating. Meal time was tricky as a diabetic, but the meal time staff always remembered and helped me alter dishes and the chef made the changes. Two beautiful dogs, Cosmo and Marley, were greeting guests as they made their rounds. Our room was very clean, and housekeeping always came twice a day. The pool was beautiful, and the gardens were very lush. Shuttle bus to the beach , was a bit farther than anticipated, but we enjoyed our day there. We spent most of our time on the resort and just wanted to relax.

There was nothing we didn’t like…but it would be nice to see more Diabetic friendly options for meals, to make things a bit easier.

Our stay at the Montpelier Nevis was incredible! It’s small enough to feel boutique and exclusive whilst having enough facilities to keep you entertained. It was so quiet and relaxing. The pool was great. All the staff were amazing, can’t thank them enough for their beautiful hospitality! And the icing on the cake was the private beach - most of the time we shared it with one or two couples so felt very private.

Internet connectivity was unstable

We thought we had a flight out in the morning, so didn't eat breakfast, but that flight out no longer left in the morning to St. Kitts, so we had to take a water taxi there which was good to know about and to take, but we landed a long way from the St. Kitts Airport. A taxi was called by the locals, and it was a long and rather expensive drive to the airport, but we did get to see some of St. Kitts. A dependable taxi was obtained from and to the airport by the hotel staff. The former taxi, still suggested on-line, to get to this mid-island former plantation / resort with its own beach, was more than twice as much.

Tiny ants come out at night on the bathroom counter. The floor and plumbing could be better sealed. (The rooms are beautiful and nicely decorated.) The gift shop had interestingly patterned clothing, but it was mostly from India. Locally-made clothing would be preferable.
