The accommodation ticked all the boxes. Very comfortable place and it was a bargain compared to other places at the time of the booking. I would definitely recommend to others. The only problem we’ve encountered (which was immediately fixed/acted upon by owner) was turning the hot water in the shower. I did notice we were not the only visitors not aware that you have to pull the string in the bathroom for hot water to run. Possibly little note on the bathroom door with a reminder would fix it?

"Ruined"

The property had a strong smell of gas. I reported this at 3am while staying with my 6 and 8 Yr old children, I was told it was “normal” and coming from downstairs completely unacceptable and unsafe. The landlord then contradicted herself by instructing me to put the keys back in the key safe and leave, while also attempting to re-let the property despite the reported gas smell. She is now refusing a refund, claiming because I checked out after 12 noon even though I had raised this concern at 3am and was waiting on advice from booking.com. Extremely poor handling of a serious safety issue and a very disappointing experience, especially after travelling over 200 miles.

The situation was handled terribly. I contacted booking.com twice and never heard back. The landlord (Kirsty) was rude and contradictory, and told me “when I know you have left, I will process the refund” only to go back on this later. It felt like she was trying to pull a fast one. Completely unprofessional and very frustrating to deal with.

"Comfortable, good value for money but could do with some TLC or extra care in places"

The property was well located and it was easy to access. Check in instructions were clear and the accomodation was clean. It was certainly value for money when using this as a base, and travelling elsewhere. It was comfy, and the rooms being equipped with tv’s was good.

The property was advertised as having parking but on check in we were advised to not park at the garage as the cleaning team needed access. Perhaps it’s me, but I could not find this parking space and it wasn’t clear where to park if not in front of the garage. I messaged the host or the agent and did not get a response. The bathroom lock was broken and kept falling off. The toilet seat appeared broken and would fall down upon being lifted. One of the TV remotes in the bedroom did not work.
