Great room with a fantastic view. The host is very responsive, friendly, and attentive. We strongly recommend staying here.

The guesthouse’s location is superb, next to the church and the start of the hiking trail to Shkhara glacier. The village’s panorama viewpoint is just 3 minutes walk away, and you can be there easily in the early morning before the tourists arrive. The rooms are clean with stupendous views and en suite bathroom. Mamuka’s mother is a whiz in the kitchen: we booked dinner and breakfast with her during our 2 night stay and every meal was delicious. Home-made jams, milk from the family cows, produce from their garden and so on. Mamuka was also very responsive and helpful with advice and booking of transfer vehicle, and we learnt a lot about life in the mountains.

We stayed only 2 nights, too short.

Great location at the end of the village, balcony gives stunning views, lovely family and delicious food, clean and light-filled room.

Bathroom drain was a bit smelly

We truly experienced "Heaven in Georgia," just as they say about Ushguli. Staying at Gamarjoba Guest & Art House was unforgettable, and much of that is thanks to Mamuka, the owner. He is genuinely one of the kindest and most generous people we've ever met. From the moment we booked, Mamuka treated us like family. He went above and beyond in every way—allowing us to wash our car and even doing our laundry, all free of charge. When we offered to pay, he simply smiled and said it wasn’t necessary. We wholeheartedly recommend Gamarjoba Guest & Art House to anyone visiting this breathtaking village. It’s not just a place to stay—it's a warm and welcoming home in the heart of the Caucasus.

Terrific guesthouse! Room was small but bed was comfortable with very warm linens, nice hot shower, super clean and great location (right next to the church). We also paid extra for breakfast (25 lari per person), a bit steeper than other places but makes sense considering how remote the village is and there was a huge amount of delicious homemade food! We asked for directions on which road to drive to get to the guesthouse which I’d recommend - do not drive through the town, go around. Very much recommend!!

No fridge but its okay no problem

This is a quaint guesthouse on the outskirts of Ushguli – really close to the church and the start of the glacier hike. There is ample parking in the gated courtyard, which was nice as we had driven to Ushguli. The room we had was clean and comfortable and met are needs with a balcony and our own bathroom with shower. There was a kitchen downstairs that we could use to heat food (which we did not as we went out to two very good restaurants) and have access to coffee and tea anytime. The location was great, and we had great views from our two windows of the mountains surrounding the town.

The walls are thin so you can hear your housemates if they are up before/after you.

Host is extremly friendly, speaks good english , helps with everything organizing travel issues And so on

Room was pretty basic , no little shelf or something to put on, And the bathroom was Also very very basic, probably normal in this area given that its a small village up in the mountains
