Aplanty Studio in the Orchard

Lovely setting on the apple orchard .

Lovely location, peaceful but a short drive to everything you may need.

Accommodation as pictured however our stay was overshadowed by several niggly things which are explained below. Good bed . Nice location by the orchard . Clean kitchen / bathroom : towels etc

On our arrival there was a bad smell in the bathroom probably caused by a leaky macerator : owner arranged to get septic tank emptied on day 2 but the smell continued for our whole stay . The hob in the kitchen is induction : there's no instructions so we had to compromise on our meal : weve got an electric hob but this one was a nightmare . The owner did come out later the first evening to help but by then we d cooked something else . Similarly the electric shower had a basic on / off hot / cold setting but would not hold temperature going from cold / very hot to warm I think because either the shower was faulty or the macerator in the waste kept cutting in to the water flow : ( only 2 knives / forks / spoons / main plates / side plates barely enough ...no peeler or can opener . Lastly no ventilation because you can't open any windows. Many of these things have been flagged up by recent guests and no action taken . I really think there should be instructions for the hob And maybe a map and local details on a noticeboard ? The owner needs to supply double the plates / cutlery to guests and consider means to let air into the studio as it gets very stuffy : one half of the stable door is locked the other one blocked by the bed . Previous guests have said it gets unbearably hot in there . In summary nice accommodation but needs some attention to detail.and action in response to comments . Always another car in my allocated space

Really nice little place to stay . Everything was clean , modern , had everything we needed there . Was really lovely to be in the orchard , very quiet and peaceful . Also felt very safe . Brought my dog with me and he loved it too . Lots of little touches we noticed , Bluetooth speaker , fire stick on the tv , wish we had stayed for longer !

The only negative I would say is that it was very hot at night time and there isn’t any windows to open , however given the weather the last few days had been ridiculously hot I’m not surprised it was like that I imagine most people have been struggling with the heat at night this week! Maybe a fan next to the bed would be nice , but that is the only suggestion I would make . Everything else was perfect 😊

Comfy bed. All mod cons available. Snug, its done well, they have fitted everything you need into a compact space. Pleasantly decorated Good shower Location to Wisbech was good. The orchard was great, nice view to look out onto. Dog friendly. Warm

Not able to park in the allocated parking spot for the studio, we then parked elsewhere which we were wary of in case we were in the way of the other guests. Bad smells from the bathroom drains. Initially found it difficult to get into key lock box. Gil came to help as she said it can get stuck sometimes. We gave it a tap as instructed and it worked. The room configuration; the bed is right next to the door on entry. It was raining during our stay so we had muddy/wet shoes which impacted the person sleeping on that side of the bed because they had to walk over the dirty area to get into bed.

For us it was the ideal location, close to persons we were visiting and was dog friendly. Accommodation was ideal, very comfortable and clean, everything you needed. Looked out on orchards which dogs enjoyed walking around. Definitely would stay again.

Easy to check in, lovely studio - plants were a wonderful bonus!
