Villa Popolan and Guest House

Dat er nog rijstvelden waren. Niet veel maar het was er toen nog wel. Je zag nog wel dat er veel meer waren maar dat hoekje was men toen aan het vol bouwen met vakantieverblijven.

Je zag hoe het landschap aan het veranderen was. Waar eens rijstvelden waren, dat werd een kolonie vakantieverblijven met voorzieningen, zoals supermarkten en wegen die werden aangelegd zodat het goed bereikbaar werd voor de commercie. Ook villa popolan was aan het uitbreiden. Vind ik een slechte zaak. Teveel kamers, teveel gasten.

Amazing location, in the rice fields in front of the Heron cafe in North Ubud. It feels like a hidden gem. Peaceful, no traffic- it’s great. One of my favorite locations in Bali and my favorite in Ubud. The staff is nice and helpful, things are clean, and the pool is great. The room gave me everything I needed. I appreciated having a big desk, which I don’t get in a lot of other places so far. Overall just a great stay and location. I think the best place I’ve stayed in Bali. I wound up extending my stay much longer than I thought.

Comfortable bed, very kind staff and spacious room. Nice pool. Access to kitchen areas.

The cleanliness was basic. Bath towel dripped brown water. Towels were very outdated, off colour and rough. Various stains on the bedding which some were the colour red. The road that the hotel is under construction so very difficult to walk around. Few places to eat but mainly need to leave the area as it’s off the main road. Can access a grab.

Chambre spacieuse, piscine agréable et bien entretenue. L’emplacement est parfait.
