"Franschhoek beauty and personality personified"

Franschhoek is an exceptional place to visit, but we have never stayed over before. Upon the recommendation from a friend, we made the booking at La Fontaine and we were very, very pleased. We were upgraded to a larger room and even spent the evening in the hotel's lounge and bar, after having enjoyed dinner in Franschhoek. Exceptional staff, exceptional breakfast and beautiful rooms. Will definitely visit the property again.

"Fabulous hotel in a great location with friendly, efficient staff"

We had a lovely time at La Fontaine. The decor is fabulous, especially the bar area. The staff were all extremely friendly and efficient - we never wanted for anything. Our room was very well appointed with an enormous bed, double basins in the bathroom and lots of space. They also provided plenty of hangers, which a lot of hotels don’t. The house is one block away from Huguenot Road, where all the shops, restaurants etc. are. Highly recommend.

I honestly can’t think of anything.

"Incredible service in a beautiful location."

The hotel is full of character and just off the main road in Franschhoek. The staff are the absolute jewel in the crown of this place though - even through 3 day power outages and all that came with an awful storm, the team could not have done more for us. Kim the manager was so helpful and kind in sorting everything for us and even transferring us to camps bay for our last night so we could end our trip on a high note. She had great dinner recommendations and the whole team did everything they could for us. A brilliant place.

There were awful storms when we were in franschhoek - nothing to do with the property of course, but even without power or basic amenities, the team did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. They were amazing.
