"A hidden gem"

10.0

The location was amazing with spectacular views. We had great weather for early March which was a stroke of luck. This is a great spot if you are a keen walker with so many excellent walks right on the door step. The cottage was comfortable, warm (once the fires were going) and quiet. The local villages have everything you could need, including the best fish and chips i have eaten. We are already booked to go back and will make this a regular place to visit

Nothing not to like

"Remote retreat getaway with friendly hosts"

10.0

The remoteness of the place, on a working farm, with an off the grid feel, was perfect for us. The hosts are super friendly. We had a relaxing two days, for the more adventurous, it makes a perfect base camp for exploring the peak district or nearby villages/towns. If you're going in the Winter months, the 2 log burners make the evenings cosy.

There's really not much to dislike about the place. The photos of the cottage give a true to life idea of what to expect.

Really helpful people very friendly, the location was picturesque and even began to snow when we arrived which added to the experience as it was our anniversary it really was a perfect little place to stay the log fire was definitely needed plenty of wood was provided we did bring our own just incase but it wasn't needed, definitely will be staying here again as this was our favourite getaway out of all that we have stayed in excellent value for money and a perfect couple of days , thank you for having us .
