RUM ALIENA LUXURY CAMP

The location of the camp and the room was stunnina! We booked the 4h jeep ride and it was AMAZING experience: Beautiful scenery, a lot of interesting stops and watchina the sunset at the end. Dinner was also exceptionally good. They showed us a traditional way of cooking which was very special.

Guys. I don't have enough superlatives to describe this place: suffice it to say that WHEN I return to Jordan, I will be spending at least a week here. The room was comfortable with an amazing view, the area was warm and welcoming (loved the diwaniya), food was tasty, staff were absolutely amazing, and I left feeling completely peaceful. 5+ stars.

I had a wonderful stay. The view from the camp was amazing, and the room was clean and tidy. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. They made guests feel welcome and comfortable. I did a half day tour. It was an unforgettable experience. The tour guide knew all the great places and took amazing photos of us with beautiful views. At the end of the tour, he brought us a sunset on one of the most breathtaking rocks. Plus, I love traditional dinners. It was incredibly delicious and had a lot to choose from, such as chicken with cooked vegetables, lots of appetizers, salads, vegetable soup, rice, tea, etc. At night we all sat around the fire under thousands of stars. We laughed a lot and talked about all the random things we could imagine. It was so much fun! Tea and shisha were great too. It was a priceless moment

Beautiful location. The staff were very friendly and helpfull.Everything was very clean and we had everything we needed. The views are incredible. Dinner was absolutely delicious! Highly recommended!

This place is the best! We had an amazing safari tour. delicious dinner and breakfast and a perfect room with breathtaking view. Our stay couldn't have been better. Thanks to all the staff for making this stay unforgettable. We recommend this place to everyone.

The property was pretty good value for money. We stayed in the camp which was beautiful. Located on the edge of the desert. We understand that WiFi won’t be the best and occasional power trips can happen. The staff did their best to remedy the situations as fast as possible and we really appreciated that. Thank you.

However, we felt communication can be better improved. I understand that it’s natural to encourage guests to spend at their property for food/tours, however we felt that the communication is sometimes a little deceptive. For example, we shared some locations that we wanted to visit in the protected area for our jeep tour, but the staff said it’s not possible because his tour cannot cover some of those locations unless we do a full day tour despite the locations being beside each other. That didn’t make sense to us initially. They then tried to encourage us to visit the outer protected area more. I think both areas are beautiful, but it was simply a preference for us to explore the areas we wanted. Anyway we later found out through our Jordanian friend that it was because they did not have permission to visit all the sites in the protected area. The local tribes have actually split the areas for better jurisdiction and control. We would have actually been comfortable and happy to do their tours if they shared their limitations clearly. As the accommodation was good value for money, I can understand that we will have some trade offs. From what we hear after talking to other guests, they also employ a flexible “pricing” strategy even when the tour duration and number of pax is the same. The listing shared that there’s ample parking at the property, however the parking area is actually a distance from the property so we had to rely on the shuttle for check-in and out. Check-in and out is free but additional trips might incur a fee.

Electricity was cut of few times. No iron for ironing. Air conditioning started at 10.30pm

Everything was beautiful. The camp, the hosts, and the jeep tour were the most beautiful trip in the Wadi Rum desert with Commander Ahmad. I did not regret choosing the camp. It exceeded my expectations. I will return on vacation with the family

Our time at rum alena luxury camp was amazing. Ahmed was incredibly friendly and patient, always accommodating our requests and sharing his knowledge of Wadi Rum's history and the Bedouin lifestyle. Being our skilled driver, he ensured our safety while navigating the rugged desert terrain with ease. Originally we were planning to stay just one night, and we were so taken by the beauty and tranquility of Wadi Rum that we extended our stay for another night.
